Free Mental Health Awareness training to anyone over the age of 18yrs old who lives or works in Marshfield.

This 'Mental Health Aware' course is an introductory four-hour session developed by Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England to raise awareness of mental health.

The training will be run online via Zoom and you will need a reliable Wifi connection, audio and a camera so you can join in!

The course will provide:

- A basic knowledge of some common mental health issues including Depression, Anxiety disorders, Psychosis, Eating disorders, Suicide and Self-harm

- An understanding of the factors that affect mental health

- Awareness of Stress and tips on stress management

- An introduction to looking after your own mental health and maintaining well being

- Confidence to support someone in distress or who may be experiencing a mental health issue

- Further reading and helpful resources

Prior to the course: You will need to collect your manual from Country Stores, these will be available a few days before the start of your course.

A few days before the course a reminder email will be sent with the Zoom link.

On the day of your training: Please be ready to join the Zoom call at least 10 minutes before the official start time to ensure the course is able to start on time.

After the course: You will receive a MHFA England certificate to say you are 'Mentally Health Aware'.
