Event description

Description

Mental health is not just a medical issue, but also a civil rights issue; one that permeates our daily lives, those of our friends and family, and the vital institutions that support our society from schools, to the criminal justice system, and beyond. While we talk about ending the stigma surrounding mental illness, we often fail to address discrimination and oppression.

Lack of accessible, quality mental health resources is a real and urgent threat to our Brooklyn community. On December 13th Join BRIC TV as we bring together voices of patients, practitioners, politicians and advocates as we fight for mental health as a civil right for all.

The cameras stop rolling at 9:00PM, but an hour-long conversation will continue over drinks in the BRIC House lobby!
