Event description
Join your colleagues for 3 hours of Ethics continuing education units.

About this Event

Many professionals are socialized to assist clients in problem-solving and to have respect for human diversity. Few professionals practice these principles with an inclusive mindset. This presentation explores and provides practical suggestions on how professionals can incorporate the values of equitable inclusion in everyday direct practice. By adopting a more inclusive practice, professionals can create more effective pathways to support client self-determination.

This course is designed to identify preferred steps in both decision-making concepts and behavioral ethics/principles to explore the ethical decisions to practice that might diverge from ethical beliefs. Please come join us December 4 as we explore ethical dilemmas in daily barriers and define equitable inclusion in everyday practice.

Educational Objectives

By the end of this workshop, attendees will be able to . . . .

1. List historic and contemporary systemic challenges that interfere with equitable inclusion in everyday direct practice;

2. Discuss guidelines on how to incorporate the values of equitable inclusion in everyday direct practice;

3. List 3 multi-perspective models of working through ethical, legal, and other types of professional problems; and

4. Define health equity and social determinants of health.
