Men's Summer Retreat
Wed, July 19, 2017, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EDT
The 2017 Men’s Summer Retreat will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the Franciscan Life Process Center, located just north of Lowell. This retreat is a diocesan-wide retreat, and all men are welcome!
The Men's Retreat is a one-day retreat held from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Msgr. Gaspar (Gus) Ancona has once again consented to be our principal presenter. As currently planned, the program will include a welcome and opening prayer, morning prayer with meditation, a presentation, followed by a quiet walk or reflection time. The afternoon consists of the Angelus prayer, lunch, a presentation, a penitential service with a homily, followed by individual Confession and absolution, and the closing Mass with a homily.
For those who wish transportation from Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish (IHM) in Grand Rapids, coffee, juice, and a car ride will be available from the IHM parking lot at Burton and Plymouth Streets to bring you to the Center and return you to IHM. Cars going to the Center will leave at 8:00 AM sharp. When you register for the retreat, you will be asked if you would like a ride. Please answer Yes or No.
The Center is located on a 230-acre rural area of woods, orchards, and farm lands with beautiful nature trails, a Rosary Walk, and the outdoor Stations of the Cross. The Center is a perfect setting for silence and reflection. You may take a very interesting tour of the Center by visiting their website, www.lifeprocesscenter.org, or by visiting the Center in person (see map).
The registration fee is $50.00 which includes lunch and is payable at the time of registration, or you may choose to register online and mail a check. Under the "Order Now" button you'll see "Show other payment options". Click on that, then click on the "Pay Offline" button. There are instructions there for sending your check to the Franciscan Life Process Center.
You do NOT need to join PayPal to register via this website.
