Dr. Glenn Penner is a recently retired University of Guelph chemistry professor and is now the resident genealogist at the recently renamed Mennonite Heritage Archives in Winnipeg. He is also the administrator of the Mennonite DNA project. Glenn uses DNA to research Mennonite genealogy and will present some results from his study of Low-German Mennonite DNA. He will also provide information on the Swiss Mennonite DNA project.

Laureen Harder-Gissing is the librarian at the Milton Good Library and the archivist for the Mennonite Archives of Ontario at Conrad Grebel University College. She also directs the Institute of Anabaptist and Mennonite Studies. Laureen will present stories and observations from her recent research on how Mennonites explore their family histories—including what they do when they unearth family secrets. She will also talk about resources for personal genealogy projects.
