MEND 7-13 is a fun, effective and practical lifestyle solution focused on families with overweight or obese children. The key to its success is an integrated approach, combining all of the elements known to both treat obesity effectively and ensure long lasting results.
MEND 7-13 is comprised of 20 sessions that take place over 10 weeks. The training will take participants through the structure of the Program for the Nutrition and Mind Sessions as well as instruction around the measurements required for program monitoring and evaluation.
MEND Physical Activity Leaders MUST attend all three MEND 7-13 training days. MEND Mind and Nutrition Leaders are strongly advised to participate in MEND SPARK Exercise training however this is not mandatory.
IF YOU ARE PARTICIPATING IN MEND SPARK EXERCISE TRAINING YOU MUST HAVE COMPLETED MEND 7-13 MIND AND NUTRITION TRAINING AS WELL AS THIS COURSE.
You are required to participate in the practical sessions of this training, therefore please come dressed appropriately with loose clothing and trainers. There will also be an element of water based exercise, therefore participants must bring suitable swimming attire and a towel.
Please be aware that you will be asked to complete an assessment upon completion of the MEND 7-13 Theory and MEND SPARK Training. The pass rate is 70%.
Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
Please confirm with your local Program Manager that you are required to attend this training. Please also check that you are able to attend training dates BEFORE booking as the following cancellation fees apply:
- More than 6 weeks - no charge.
- 4-6 weeks - $50 fee per person.
- 1-3 weeks - $100 fee per person.
- Less than 1 week - $150 fee per person.
- A $50 administration fee will also be charged per person.
This course will only run subject to the minimum number of people attending. Failure to reach this number may result in this training being cancelled.
