Event description

Description

Details of the MEND 7-13 SPARK Exercise Knowledge Transfer dates, venue and location are provided on the right.

MEND 7-13 is a fun, effective and practical lifestyle solution focused on families with children with overweight or obesity. The key to its success is an integrated approach, combining all of the elements known to both treat obesity effectively and ensure long lasting results.

MEND 7-13 is comprised of 20 sessions that take place over 10 weeks. The knowledge transfer will take participants through the structure of the Program for the Nutrition and Mind Sessions as well as instruction around the measurements required for program monitoring and evaluation.

MEND Physical Activity Leaders should attend all three MEND 7-13 knowledge transfer meeting days. MEND Mind and Nutrition Leaders are strongly advised to participate in MEND SPARK Exercise training however this is not mandatory.

You are required to participate in the practical sessions of this knowledge transfer meeting, therefore please come dressed appropriately with loose clothing and trainers.

Please be aware that you will be asked to complete an assessment upon completion of the MEND 7-13 Mind and Nutrition and MEND SPARK knowledge transfer. The pass rate is 75%.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided.

If you require any further information about MEND please visit www.healthyweightpartnership.org or contact your Program Manager.
