Description

Behavioral health is more than dementia when it comes to elder care. This workshop will discuss elder abuse, research updates and local trials, addicitons, health complications, and caregiver tips for professionals and family caregivers. This annual workshop is Mental Health America's largest workshop, and participants will benefit from networking with LPCs, social workers, nurses, attorneys, long-term care professionals, certified peer recovery specialists, and other professionals. Breakfast and lunch is available.

Please note that there is a $20 fee to register, which will be refunded to everyone who attends the course. If you cannot make it, you are encouraged to send a substitute in your place, as there are no refunds for registrants who do not attend.

This event is eligible for up to 6 hours of continuing education credit!

ACLF Administrators: This seminar is approved for 6 hours of ACLF Administrator credit, which is pending.

Attorneys: This seminar is pending for 6.0 hours of CLE (general CLE only).

CPRS: This seminar has been approved for 6.0 hours of of continuing education for certified peer recovery specialists.

Licensed Counselors: This program qualifies for 6.0 hours of CEUs according to rules set forth by the Tennessee Board of LPCs, LMFTs, and Licensed Pastoral Therapists.

Nurses: The University of Tennessee (UT)-Martin has been approved this symposium for .6 CEUs. CEUs are awarded at the rate of one (1) CEU for every ten (10) hours of instruction. Upon completion of the program, the attendee will have a permanent record on file with the Academic Records Office at UT-Martin denoting this training. The attendee will also be issued a Certificate of Completion from UT-Martin. Attendees wishing to obtain a copy of a non-degree transcript may find instructions for doing so at the following website: www.utm.edu/departments/registrar/transcripts.php.

Psychologists: This program qualifies for 6.0 hours of Type II CEs according to rules set forth by the Tennessee Board of Examiners for Psychology.

Social Workers: This program is pending by the National Association of Social Workers-TN Chapter for 6.0 continuing education units.

All attendees will receive a certificate of attendance.
