Event description
A celebration of Heather Jane McCormick, a Bard Graduate Center alumna, a gifted researcher and writer, and a beloved colleague and friend.

About this event

The Bard Graduate Center community comes together with family and friends of Heather Jane McCormick to celebrate her life and to mourn her passing on September 27, 2020. McCormick, an alumna of BGC's MA program, valiantly battled metastatic breast cancer for more than a decade.

According to BGC Founder and Director Susan Weber, “Heather Jane was a gifted researcher and writer, and one of BGC’s very first students. She was instrumental in the publication of our textbook, History of Design: Decorative Arts and Material Culture, 1400–2000. She was a valued member of the BGC community and worked to the end of her life on related research projects.”

Zoom information will arrive in your inbox on Friday (10/22) afternoon.
