9:30a - 12:00p LIVING ROOF Workshop !

Hands-on installation includes membrane, drainage, soil layers and installation of some plants. See several other living roofs on site and tour the enchanting Strawbale Studio and the Hobbit Sauna ! Pricing below.

1:00p - 5:30p ROCKET STOVE Outdoor Cooker. Hands-on construction of this very practical way to cook things outdoors with sticks and twigs ! We will cook some food on it, too.Also learn the basic principles of a rocket stove, and see a Rocket Stove Mass Bench. Pricing below.

10:00a - 5:00p EARTH PLASTERING & SCULPTING .Learn the basics of locating, mixing and applying earth plasters to natural buildings or existing walls. Harvest and prep earth. Plaster on the walls of the Hobbit Sauna at Strawbale Studio ! Try your hand at sculpting & take a quart of mix home to continue to experiment.

1:00p - 5:00p PLASTERING & SCULPTING with EARTH . Get a chance to apply to buildings on site, and take home a bag for experimenting.Find out how to locate, identify and mix cob, and plasters over strawbales. If you already took the class, continue to practice, or make a sculpture or small project of your choice.See plasters in several natural buildings as well as the main (regular) house. See how you could use it in your life.Deanne illustrated the Natural Plaster book, and has 20 years experience with earth plasters.Pricing below.
