Event description

Description

We all have been too aware of the incidents of violence Myrtle Beach residents have witnessed in previous years. Last year, the questions arose: "What does the Lord desire and what can we do?" Since we know that prayer changes things, the Lord began to speak to our hearts about inviting all churches and willing Christians to participate together in a continuous prayer time over our area during that event.

We will have 60 hours of continuous prayer at Pavilion Park (by the volleyball nets at 8th Ave. and Ocean Blvd). We invite you to join us!

Please sign up for one or more 4-hour prayer shifts anytime from Thursday May 25 at 8 am through Saturday May 27 at 8 pm.

Instructions:

  1. Click the blue SELECT A DATE button above
  2. Select which time shift you would like to start (4 hour shifts)
  3. Confirm the date and time you chose
  4. Click the green REGISTER button
  5. Click CHECKOUT
  6. Complete the registration form
  7. You do not need to print or bring your ticket

Everyone is invited to return on Sunday May 28 at 2 pm for a Celebration service (location to be announced).

Prayer changes everything! Hope to see you there!

FAQs

Are there minimum age requirements to come to the event?

Older children are allowed to come pray with you. Please make arrangements for younger children who might require your attention and take away from the focus on prayer.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Friday from 10 pm thru 2 am the city traffic loop will be in place. http://www.cityofmyrtlebeach.com/bikefest.html

Tips for parking:

- Carpool if possible

- Meter parking: http://www.visitmyrtlebeach.com/plan/maps-transportation/parking/

- Park for free at First United Methodist Church (9th Ave & Kings Hwy) and walk. Please print your ticket (it will come by email when you register for a prayer shift) and place in your windshield so the church knows why you are there.

What should I bring to the event?

Chairs will be provided, but feel free to bring your own chair. We will have water for you, but you can bring a snack for yourself if you would like. You might also want to bring your bible. The weather can be cool and windy at the beach in the evening and morning, please dress in warm layers.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Email ronnyyiping@gmail.com or call 803-351-4647 with any questions.
