Have you ever wondered whether what you are working on is where it should be, or how you can get it there? Or, are you curious about significant factors to keep in mind as you just start to craft the early pages of your novel? Perhaps you are even to the point where you’ve been working on your project for a long time and wish you could have an editor’s support and feedback, but you don’t feel ready to incur the cost? Wherever you are in your writer’s journey, getting feedback on your work in an encouraging and supportive roundtable discussion can get you ahead and provide a huge boost to your writing process.

In this workshop, we will embark upon a three-hour adventure in which we explore dozens of craft elements essential to composing great stories, all of which will be drawn from our own work. By the end of our session, attending writers will have gained greater clarity about what questions good writers ask as they work, as well as a clearer sense of what editors and agents look for when they receive a pitch or a submission. Please bring to workshop ten printed hard copies of the first page of a work in progress to share with the group, as well as paper and pen for taking notes, and be prepared to learn more in a single day than you thought possible.
