About Melissa Stewart

Melissa is a partner with Rose Grasch Camenisch Mains, a law firm in Lexington, Kentucky. Melissa has practiced law for 32 years, the last 27 of which have been concentrated in the areas of estate planning, estate tax, estate and trust administration, guardianships, estate litigation and elder law. As part of her estate planning practice, she represents individuals, married couples and families in crafting plans to pass on their assets, plan for business succession and otherwise leaving a legacy.

In addition, she has represented a number of individuals who have served as executors and trustees in a myriad of family situations, some of which involve a high level of conflict and emotion. Conversely, she has also represented beneficiaries who are in conflict with each other and/or fiduciaries. In connection with those roles, she has participated in successful mediations and litigation between family members, trust and estate beneficiaries, and/or fiduciaries. She also occasionally helps form charitable corporations and assists them in getting tax exempt status. Melissa has been named as a Super Lawyer, but more importantly has been a PWF member for over a decade.
