About this event
Join us in the 284 Broadway back taproom on Saturday July 9th with our friend Suanne Scalise of MEM tea for a beer and tea class. If you're interested in all things tea, beer, and brewing, this is the event for you!
In this class, we'll introduce participants to the five major varieties of tea and explore the differences between them. We'll then brew and taste our way around the world of tea. We'll discuss topics including growing regions, farming practices, processing, steeping, and explore how these factors affect the end product.
Finally, attendees will sample two of Lamplighter's latest releases brewed with tea sourced from MEM: Group Theory, a delightful Wheat Ale brewed with Chamomile, and Heat Waves, a new Arnold-Palmer inspired Lager brewed with a black iced tea blend. This class is great for everyone, from our seasoned tea lovers to our new tea drinkers. Join us to gain a little insight into our favorite drink, and enjoy a few beers.
Your ticket includes:
- Admission to class
- One 6 oz pour of Group Theory (Chamomile Honey Wheat Ale)
- One 6 oz pour of Heat Waves (Lager with Black Tea and Lemon)
- Tea samples
Please note that this event is 21+, and guests will be asked to show valid government ID upon entry.
