As we begin the new year, there are several changes in the world of employment law that will have an impact on companies and their HR practices. Sarju Naran is a zealous advocate for his clients, and approaches litigation with creativity and strategy. Chair of the Employment Law Group, Sarju’s experience spans from representing middle-market and family-owned closely held businesses to large multi-national companies. He regularly litigates and provides advice and counsel to companies on: wage and hour issues, trade secret misappropriation, employee mobility, wrongful termination, performance management, leaves of absence, and other high risk matters.
Jenn Protas helps employers navigate California’s numerous employment laws and defends employers with an eye toward successful, yet cost-effective resolution. Her practice focuses on matters related to wage and hour advice and litigation, employee leave issues, personnel management, HR investigations and trainings, and defense of wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation litigation. In addition, Jenn has substantial experience drafting employer policies, handbooks, confidentiality and nondisclosure agreements, separation agreements, and settlement agreements. Her practice also includes housing discrimination matters, and general litigation, including business disputes.
Molly A. Sundstrom is an associate in the firm’s Employment Law Group and Litigation Group. Molly’s practice focuses on employment law compliance and employment litigation, as well as other forms of business litigation. Molly received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in English from the University of California, Davis. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara University School of Law. While attending Santa Clara University, Molly was awarded the pro bono recognition award for her volunteer work, and a certificate in High Technology Law Business Corporations from the High Tech Law Institute.
