A great event for a great cause!
At least 13 ski brands will be represented with over 400 pairs of skis! Ski representatives will be bringing gear for the 2017-18 season for you to try before anyone else in this market. You get to be the gear tester and let all your friends know what great things are happening next year! The best part is that 100% of the proceeds will go directly to PAFE - the Panhandle Alliance for Education. Simply put, you get to try great gear and all of the money goes toward educational grants in Bonner County.
Here is how it works. You purchase a ticket and that is your access to the demo area. You shop around, talk to reps and pick out the ski that you would like to try. The certified reps fit the bindings to YOUR boot. Then you head out on the mountain for an hour to test it out on the terrain you are comfortable on. After a couple of runs, ski back to the demo area to return your skis and do it all again! There will also be a plethora of 2016-17 skis to try and potentially purchase at the end of the day. During the day we will have coffee tasting, coca cola product tasting and after the event we will have craft brew tasting in Taps (for those 21 and over...) AND all the proceeds fund educational programming. How cool is that!
There will also be a raffle for great ski goodies and a silent auction (for a 2016-17 season pass and an Alpine Shop ski locker!). You will receive one complimentary raffle ticket with your registration - but you can purchase more raffle tickets when you arrive!
Tickets are limited based on the number of skis and we expect it to sell out quickly. Sales will open December 1 at 12:01am and will be open until 48 hours before the event. Onsite tickets, if available will be $40. Due to the individualized information on the entry registration, each ticket will require accurate information for the person attending. All persons under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to check in.
This event is a cooperative effort between PAFE, Schweitzer Mountain Resort and The Alpine Shop. All proceeds go directly to Panhandle Alliance for Education.
