Event description

Description

The 25th of May is internationally recognized as Africa Day so let's get together on the 24th to celebrate and brainstorm job creation opportunities for the continent.

Africa has the youngest population globally with a median age of 25. By 2050 the continent will account for the highest population growth in the world, 1.3 billion. This increase in population will demand a strong investment in skills development, education, job creation and infrastructure to address the needs at hand.

Can technology help us build and develop an extraordinary skilled and talented workforce that will rise to address the challenges that will come with an increase in the population?

Amadou Daffe

Later, during his legal traineeship he worked for DEG in the financing of projects in Kenya and Mozambique and the Africa-department of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. After his second state examination in law in 2015 he co-founded AfricaWorks, a spin-off by the University of Leipzig. AfricaWorks connects African graduates from German universities with the private sector.
