Meeting the Needs of All Students
Thu, August 17, 2017, 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM CDT
Description: As Catholic educators, we find privilege in the opportunity to honor and serve each student as a child of God. Through these sessions, PK-8 teachers will learn about how their classroom structures, routines, curriculum, instructional strategies, and responses can support each child’s diverse learning, cultural, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
Topics will include Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and differentiation, social-emotional learning, multicultural education, academic and behavioral interventions, and scheduling and management techniques. These sessions will be differentiated for the needs of teachers of different content and levels.
We will offer our Mater Dei Early Childhood Institute for PreSchool and Kindergarten teachers on these days at the same locations.
