Briefing: How Can California Close its Looming Health Workforce Gaps?
Final Recommendations of the California Future Health Workforce Commission — A Look at Primary Care Shortages and Health Prevention in the Central Valley

As California continues to lead the nation in its efforts to expand access to health care — and make coverage more affordable — the California Future Health Workforce Commission released a report in February outlining a comprehensive plan for ensuring the state’s health system has enough qualified professionals to support and provide the health services Californians need.

Join us in Fresno on April 23 for a briefing on the Commission’s 10 priority recommendations, a $3 billion plan over ten years to:
  • Address looming health workforce shortages already affecting health access, quality of care
  • Train a new generation of health workers who reflect the diversity of California
  • Fully eliminate projected shortfalls in the field of primary care—and nearly eliminate shortages in psychiatry

Lunch is provided.
