Please join us in welcoming Assemblywoman Laurie Davies and Senator Dave Min to discuss becoming public officials, the state's overall condition on infrastructure, state policies on transportation and transit, water shortage issues and several other infrastructure topics. The roundtable discussion will be emceed by leaders of ASCE Region 9's Government Relations Committee. A Q&A will follow the discussion along with an opportunity to network with your fellow peers.

Please join us in welcoming the honorable Davies, representing California's 74th Assembly District that includes San Clemente, Laguna Niguel and northern San Diego County. Ms. Davies serves on the Transportation Committee for the State of California. Prior to serving on the state legislature, Laurie was first elected in 2012 to the Laguna Niguel City Council. She was appointed Mayor in 2015 and re-elected in 2016. During her time on the Council, Laurie served as a Board Member on the Transportation Corridor Agency, Chaired the League of Cities Committee on Transportation, Communication and Public Works, and was elected to the OCTA.

Senator Dave Min
California State Senate
Please join us in welcoming the honorable Min, representing California's 37th Senate District that includes Costa Mesa, Irvine and Tustin. Senator Min serves on the Energy, Utilities and Communications Committee for the State of California. Prior to the senate, Mr. Min was an assistant law professor at UC Irvine focusing on financial market issues. In addition, he served as a staff attorney for the SEC and Senate Banking Committee for Senator Chuck Schumer and as a director for financial policy at the Center for American Progress.
