Join us Thursday October 24 at 6pm for a conversation with Eric Ryan, founder of soap and cleaning product powerhouse Method. Eric started Method in 2001 with his high school buddy Adam and has since built Method into one of the fastest growing and most innovative companies in the U.S.
Eric, who is in town to speak at URI, has graciously agreed to come to Providence for a meet up with our start-up community. The event is free, but space is limited. You must register to attend. Hope to see you there!
About Eric Ryan
Eric makes soap. Really nice smelling soap that's non-toxic and good for the planet. Soap that's really beautiful, too. He started Method in 2001 with his high school buddy Adam and has since built Method into a $150 million brand at retail — a brand that was ranked the 7th fastest growing company in America by Inc. Magazine in 2006 and the 16th most innovative company in the world by Fast Company. He's been named an eco-leader by Vanity Fair, a Food & Wine Tastemaker, an eco-revolutionary by Time Magazine, PETA's Person of the Year, and one of People Magazine's Sexiest People Alive. Okay, that last one's not really true, but the others are. Prior to becoming a soapmaker, Eric started his career in London as a strategic planner in advertising followed by stints at Fallon, Hal Riney and TATTOO. Previous clients include United, Saturn, Gap, Colgate and California Pizza Kitchen. Eric lives in Marin with his wife Ingrid and two year-old daughter Anya, whose current favorite color is purple.
