Aida Batlle is a fifth generation Salvadoran and the producer of some of the world’s most prized coffees. Batlle’s farms run along the Santa Ana volcano in the Western part of El Salvador and her reputation as an innovator of new growing techniques and processing methods has landed her rock star status in the world of coffee. Batlle has been the recipient of many awards including the Cup of Excellence, and national barista champions from Greece, South Korea, and the United States, among others, have showcased her coffees.

The coffee that Allegro Coffee Roasters will feature is Batlle’s Finca Los Alpes. Carefully picked at its peak of ripeness, you’ll taste notes of dried lime, green apple, and lemon cream with a malted, honey finish.

Darrin Daniel began his coffee career in Eugene, Oregon in the mid-1980s. He has worked as a barista, roaster, trainer, technician, QC manager, and coffee-and-tea buyer for companies such as Torrefazione Italia, Coffee Corner, and Stumptown Coffee Roasters. He has been on the Executive Council of Roasters Guild and currently serves on the SCAA's Sustainability Council. Darrin is the director of sourcing for Allegro Coffee Company in Denver, CO.
