Please join us on Saturday, April 22 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. for a reception to meet the artists presenting their work in “Shades of Spring 2017” a bi-annual show and sale presented by members of the Art League of Germantown. In addition to the display of handmade jewelry, pottery, textiles and other handmade craft items, the show features both framed artwork hanging on the walls as well as unframed artworks displayed in bins throughout the gallery.
New This Year! A special exhibit of Small Works will be presented in the Terrace Gallery (upper level) in addition to the many fine art and craft items on display in the Kay Gallery (main level).
Exhibit Description: Twice each year the Art League of Germantown (ALOG) presents a five-day indoor fine art and craft show and sale at BlackRock featuring original paintings, drawings, photography, prints, sculpture, jewelry, pottery, textiles, carved wood, and other items created by local artist members. Shop for unique handmade gifts for Mother’s Day, graduations, weddings, and other special events at “Shades of Spring 2017” from Wednesday, April 19 through Sunday, April 23 during special daily show hours (please check the full schedule listed below). On both Saturday, April 22 (12:00 – 5:00 pm) and Sunday, April 23 (12:00 – 4:00 pm) artists will be presenting live demonstrations of their art and craft techniques.
