Watching a TED Talk online is an experience. Planning the event, going behind the scenes, and leaving your fingerprint on a local TED event is an interactive, engaging, and exciting experience.
The Chicago Alliance* is planning an independently organized TED event to be held in Q4 of 2017.
Currently, the Chicago Alliance planning committee is looking for TED Heads, like you, who are ready to give back and pay forward. Yes, we need volunteers! You DO NOT have to be a member of the Metropolitan Club or the Chicago Alliance to participate.
This project takes a village, a city, and the whole community. Working collaboratively, knowing each other consciously, and paying it forward collectively. No experience with planning previous TED events is required. You will be part of a committed group of professionals who support this effort. Our group will also be guided by a seasoned TEDx organizer*** who will share the best practices.
If you are not familiar with TED Talks, please watch a few videos at TED.com before attending this meeting. Review the official TED guidelines. Bring your open mind and collaborative spirit to our next meeting. We welcome your enthusiasm!
Before you attend the next planning meeting, be sure to do the following:
- Download and read the mission/vision statement for our proposed TED Event here.
- Submit your volunteer application.
