- About the Retreat -

Basic meditation on a neutral object such as the breath functions to temporarily calm distracting thoughts, but it does not have the power to bring about a deep and lasting mental transformation. However, combining a simple meditation on the breath with the inner practice of taking suffering and giving happiness transforms our ordinary mind into the the blissful mind of a Bodhisattva. Meditation on taking and giving improves our concentration, strengthens our love and compassion, and results in the accumulation of vast merit. In this way, the simple act of breathing is transformed into a powerful spiritual practice.

This retreat is suitable for everyone, regardless of meditation experience.

Session 1 - 9:00-10:15am

Session 2 - 11:00am-12:15pm

Lunch - 12:30-1:45pm

Session 3 - 2:00-3:15pm

Session 4 - 4:00-5:00pm
