Meditation Workshop: Deeply Centered - Weathering Life's Storms
Date: Saturday January 7th, 2017 - 1:00-5:00 pm
Sitting and standing meditation with strong posture and settled breathing provide a healthy foundation for facing and weathering the storms that buffet us, whether external or internal, emotional or health-related, or everyday vicissitudes. We will revisit foundation practices for settling in, down, and deeper with healthy breathing. Getting comfortable in healthy grounding makes the rest go more easily. With these supports, we will explore skillful practices for contemplating the thought and emotional storms that too easily overwhelm. All of these practices lead to the capacity to both let go and respond compassionately.
This is the sixth session in our series but you are welcome to attend whether or not you have attended previous sessions. The series offers an experiential format of guided practices, followed by explanations and clarification of questions. The workshop is suitable for beginners and experienced meditators alike. We will adjust to the needs of those present.
