Focused Awareness: Bringing Mindfulness Into Focus
Bolster your resume and join an elite group of entrepreneurial healthcare pioneers who have already become board certified meditation specialists™. Take your practice to the next level and become eligible to complete your certification, gain competency, and put the skills and tools acquired from the online and webinar program into practice! This clinic is open to those who have completed the online and webinar portion of this program or its equivalent.
Travel to a retreat center nestled in the beautiful Pocono Mountains and attend this five-day professional continuing education seminar. Participants are provided with skills to teach focused awareness meditation and its practices in multiple settings – long-term care facilities, hospitals, veterans’ administration facilities, outpatient clinics, community health, or private practice.
As a professional, you can use meditation and it's practices to help your patients, clients and students. This immersion retreat will also focus and strengthen your existing skills—while you earn continuing education credits. You’ll gain a thorough grounding in the principles of healing and evidence-based meditation, and learn how to integrate this transformative practice into your own life.
This retreat is the teacher methodology course of Dr. Susan Taylor’s acclaimed Meditation Specialist™ Training Program. Students are immersed in the powerful learning, restorative and health building techniques unique to the authentic practice of meditation. You will have opportunities to explore questions and impressions arising out of your experience —and, if so inspired, to discuss the steps to becoming a board certified meditation teacher.
This program fulfills one of the requirements of the Meditation Specialist™ Training conducted by the Center for Meditation Science, but does not guarantee board certification. For more information on becoming a board certified meditation specialist teacher, visit http://www.nmscb.org.
