About Paul R. Fleischman M.D.

Dr. Fleischman is a Vipassana meditation teacher in the tradition of the late S. N. Goenka. He trained in psychiatry at Yale University and was in clinical practice for over thirty years. He has been honored by the American Psychiatric Association for his “unique contributions to the study of psychiatry and religion.” In the recent past he has lectured at Brown, Yale, Harvard, MIT, Tufts, NYU and Columbia, and in many countries around the world. He is the author of many books including “Cultivating Inner Peace,” “Karma and Chaos,” and most recently “Wonder: When and Why the World Appears Radiant”.

Dr. Paul R. Fleischman's praise for meditation will include realistic assessment of its pitfalls and limits. His talk will describe his own forty plus years of following the Path.
