Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Waiver Training
Event Information
Description
Southwest Washington healthcare providers, including physicians, PAs, ARNPs and resident physicians, are invited to register for a no-cost Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT) training course. The training is part of a regional effort to address the opioid crisis by certifying providers to prescribe buprenorphine, an evidence-based medication therapy for opioid use disorder.
This course allows providers to become waivered to prescribe Buprenorphine for opioid use disorder. After the four-hour live training, participants will receive a link for the online portion to complete and receive credit for the full course.
The event is presented by Southwest Accountable Community of Health (SWACH) in partnership with local
opioid response champions and the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry (AAAP), the data sponsor for
this program. Your trainer is Dr. Melinda Landchild.
