Event description

The group visit model has been used successfully to address diabetes and other chronic health conditions. The Seattle Indian Health Board (SIHB) has implemented a group visit model for providing medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder. SIHB professionals will present information on how the integration of behavioral health with primary care transformed into a group visit model to provide MAT. Preliminary outcomes data will be presented as well as SIHB’s experience with reimbursement for this new model. Participants will discuss opportunities and challenges for implementing MAT group visits in underserved communities following the SIHB presentations.
