Adam Dakin | Co-Founder, Plexus Innovation Hub
Adam is a co-founder and managing partner of the PLEXUS Innovation Hub, a Philadelphia-based co-working space focused on early stage health technology companies. He has co-founded five medical technology companies and secured over $50M in early stage capital. Most recently, he served as CEO of PhotoSonix Medical, a company he co-founded in 2014, that is developing an energy-based device for acne. Previously, he was the CEO of X-SITE Medical, a developer of vascular closure technology, acquired by Datascope (now Maquet).
Adam has held various senior management roles in sales, marketing, product development, clinical affairs, operations, and general management. He started his medtech career as an orthopedic implant sale representative.
Adam serves on the boards of PhotoSonix Medical and ActiveProtective Corp. He is the co-chair of the PACT medical technology advisory board and serves as a Mentor In Residence for Pennovation. Adam was awarded the 2014 PACT MedTech Leadership Award. He is the lead inventor on three U.S. patents.
