FAQs

Do I get a certificate?

Yes, issued certification will allow you to work and apply for a dispensing organization agent identification card once employed. In addition to your Responsible Vendor Training Certification , dispensing organizations must ensure that agents receive a minimum of eight hours of training annually as defined in Section 15-65 (a)(5) of the Cannabis Regulation and Tax

When will my certificate expire?

Your certification is good for 1 year and must be renewed annually. Responsible vendor Training Certification must be completed within 90 days before or after the first day of employment at a dispensary, whichever is later. Training received outside of the 90-day window will not meet the State's training requirement. If you’re not hired within 90 days of taking this course, you can request recertification through Leafy Green Agency for FREE.

How will the State of Illinois know that I completed and passed this course?

The names of the students who have passed this course will be provided to the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation where you can apply for a dispensing organization agent identification card once employed.
