Med Instead of Meds- New Hanover & Brunswick
Event Information
About this Event
The Mediterranean-style diet has been recognized as a research-based eating pattern that promotes health and decreases the risk of many chronic diseases. Eating the “med way” involves the healthy eating patterns that are traditionally practiced in countries that border the Mediterranean Sea and can decrease risks of some forms of cancer, may be more effective than a low-fat diet for weight loss, may decrease the risk of macular degeneration and dementia and can improve blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes.
The Med Instead of Meds class series will help you Go Med by exploring 7 simple steps to eating the Med Way. Learn Med tips, life hacks, and recipes that will help you eat the Med Way every day. Great tasting and good for you! The simple, delicious, and satisfying Med Way of eating will keep you coming back for more.
