Description

Please join us for the first webinar in our new College Success Network series. This webinar is part of the "Data & Information" group answering the question, "How do we identify, measure and track outcomes for underserved students on our campus?"

This webinar will feature Dayna Levy, Director, Career & Professional Development and Katie Krimmel, Associate Dean for the Leadership, Innovation and Liberal Arts Center at Bryn Mawr College, and Shannon Conklin, Associate Director of Assessment and Technology at the Temple University Career Center. Both institutions have recently begun looking at student engagement in programs, including disaggregation by various subgroups such as underserved students. We will hear from both a small, private liberal arts college and a large public research university as they navigate the complexities of this process on their respective campuses.

About the speakers:

Dayna Levy joined Bryn Mawr College as Director of the Center for Career and Professional Development, within the Leadership, Innovation, and the Liberal Arts Center (LILAC). She brings sixteen years of career services experience. Most recently, Dayna served as Director of the Thomas Jefferson University Career Development Center, where she created career programming for students and alumni of the health professions for the past ten years. Prior to her work at Jefferson, Dayna served students in Saint Joseph’s University’s Career Center in her role of Assistant Director/Career Counselor with special outreach to liberal arts & sciences. Dayna’s first professional position in higher education was Assistant Director for Career Programs at Quinnipiac College in Hamden, CT.

Katie Krimmel has ten years of higher education and business experience with specialized expertise in leadership development and program management. She is the Associate Dean of Leadership, Innovation and the Liberal Arts Center (LILAC) at Bryn Mawr College, a position formed to integrate Civic Engagement and Career and Professional Development staffs and provide a comprehensive array of professional and personal development opportunities for all Bryn Mawr students. Katie also works closely with the faculty to find ways for the LILAC to support curricular initiatives and to form connections between academic coursework and LILAC activities. Previously, Katie was the Senior Associate Director of the Wharton Leadership Program at the University of Pennsylvania, directing a highly successful Nonprofit Board Leadership Program. She started at Wharton in 2006 as an administrative coordinator in the Graduate Leadership Program, following three years at the Target Corporation, as an executive manager. Katie obtained her Doctorate of Education in Higher Education Management at the University of Pennsylvania, where she also has a Master of Education degree. As a student at Penn State, Katie was a Schreyer Honors Scholar, and today she volunteers as a student mentor through the Liberal Arts Mentor Program and as an admissions interviewer for SHC.

Shannon Conklin is the Associate Director of Assessment and Technology at Temple University Career Center.
