In conjunction with its annual Earth Day Fair, the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) is hosting a shoreline cleanup at its Police Headquarters building. Come help your fellow neighbors, co-workers and local volunteers clear the shoreline of debris that has washed ashore. Let’s do our part to help beautify the Chesapeake Bay watershed!
Volunteers must be 13 years of age or older. Individuals under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. (One adult for every 4 minor children.)
Please use this web page to register as a volunteer for the event. ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST REGISTER USING THIS SITE in order to participate.
Waivers must be signed and submitted at the time of registration on April 23, 2016. Waivers will be e-mailed to volunteers (who have pre-registered). Waivers will also be available at the volunteer site. Waivers for children must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.
Shuttle service will begin at 8am at the Key Bridge parking lot (305 Authority Drive, Baltimore, MD 21222). The last shuttle to the shoreline will depart the Key Bridge parking lot at 8:30am. Volunteers will be brought back (via shuttle) to the Key Bridge at the end of the event.
Clothing should be comfortable: long pants and long-sleeved shirt are suggested. Extremely loose clothing is discouraged. Comfortable yet sturdy shoes with good ankle support and rubber soles should be worn.
This is a volunteer opportunity, and MDTA employees will not be compensated for their participation.
