Mike has served the majority of his career in Downtown Fort Lauderdale spending 10 years at the “Sistrunk Express” Firehouse #46. Prior to being promoted, Mike’s last assignment was the Captain of Engine Co. 2. Mike founded the Fort Lauderdale Fire Training Expo and is currently its’ overall coordinator. He has taught Flashover Awareness, Vent-Enter-Search, Engine Company Operations, Vehicle Machinery Rescue, Rope Rescue, and Trench Rescue to firefighters from around the nation.

Improving communications at your firehouse will result in better performance on the fireground. A bare bones approach to fixing firehouse communications and setting pre-fireground roles and responsibilities. Improving communications revolve around one goal, which is to successfully stretch the first line to the fire. From the Firehouse to the Fireground provides a unique mix of firefighter relation and fireground tactics heavily swayed towards overcoming extended, difficult and elevated hose-line advances in an effort to reduce injuries and Line of Duty Deaths.
