Ron George, David Craig and Charles Lollar are confirmed to participate at this time. Ticket and valid identification required for entrance to the debate.
Debate Co-Sponsors and Organizers:
- Johns Hopkins University College Republicans (host)
- Loyola University Maryland College Republicans
- Baltimore City Republican Central Committee
Doors open at 7:00pm. The debate will start at 7:30pm and last approximately one hour. Richard Sher of "Square Off" (WMAR) will be moderating, and Red Maryland Network will be streaming the debate. A meet-and-greet reception (which requires an additional ticket for $20.00 plus Eventbrite fees) with the candidates will follow.
In order to encourage collegiate attendance and increase debate publicity, we have reserved 250 tickets for college students and the media. College students should communicate with their CR chapter chairs after reserving a ticket. Members of the press should contact johnshopkinsrepublicans@gmail.com after reserving a ticket. We will void any debate tickets reserved under the student/press category that do not follow these rules. No exceptions to this policy.
There will be standby seating at the door, but standby seating does not guarentee you a seat.
Please respect that this event is being hosted on a college campus. No food or drink can be brought into Shriver Hall. NO FIREARMS, SMOKING INSIDE SHRIVER, ALCOHOL OR OTHER ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES PERMITTED. Failure to abide by this will result in removal from the property and possibly criminal prosecution. Tickets will be checked with proper identification at the door.
Donations to the collegiate sponsors would be greatly appreciated; donations would go towards future on and off campus club events. There is a parking garage and metered spaces at Johns Hopkins and around Charles Village.
