MCYPG Kayaking Mixer at Elkhorn Slough

Get out on the water and make some new friends with the Monterey County Young Professional Group! Our County is home to many beautiful parks and preserves, including one of the largest estuaries on the west coast of North America, Elkhorn Slough.
Whether you are a kayaking expert or this is your first time, this event offers you a safe and social experience of exploring the area in a larger group setting. The paddle will be followed by a celebratory happy hour at a The Whole Enchilada where you can continue the conversation.
Participants will share double kayaks, with an open deck (sit-on-tops). These are stable, easy to get in and out of, and are self bailing. Beginners are more than welcome! All participants will sign a release waiver at the kayak company.
Your participant fees will also cover snacks and/or starter appetizers at the Whole Enchillada.
10:00 – 10:30 a.m. Meet at Kayak Connection, gear up, sign waivers, paddle instruction
10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Kayak paddle into Elkhorn Slough
1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Happy Hour at The Whole Enchilada.
Cancellation policy: Noooo don’t go! Ok we know things come up. Cancel your reservation by Wednesday, April 3 by 5pm for a full refund. There are no refunds after that time.

Monterey County Young Professionals Group
The Mission of the Monterey County Young Professionals Group (MCYPG) is to be the central hub for networking, personal development, leadership and recognition opportunities that empower local young professionals (ages 21-39). Comprised of 1500+ Members (and growing), MCYPG is an exclusively volunteer-run organization and 501c7 tax-exempt social club.
The Goals of the MCYPG Management Team are:
--To provide a forum for networking and business development through the production of regular social events and an extensive on-line resource geared toward services, events, and personal development.
--To support professional and personal development of its membership by hosting speakers and/or brief presentations at events.
--To offer leadership opportunities for young professionals by welcoming members to participate in the planning and delivery of events and activities.
--To develop a strong culture of recognition for its membership, including formal and informal recognition in the form of public events, awards, and personal gratification.
What We Do:
MCYPG hosts bi-monthly mixers at venues throughout Monterey County that provide attendees the opportunity to network with other young professionals while enjoying a variety of locations, event themes, and social opportunities. Frequently, these mixers include Networking Games (and Prizes) to make it fun and easy to meet new people. The MCYPG event locations range from upscale, sophisticated restaurants and lounges, to exciting, activity-oriented venues.
