Description

SUBJECT: Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA), will host an Advanced Planning Briefing to Industry (APBI).

WHEN: Wednesday, February 6, 2019

WHERE: MCTSSA, Camp Pendleton, California

BACKGROUND: MCTSSA, a subordinate command of Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), provides test and evaluation, engineering, development, and operating forces technical support for USMC and Joint Service command, control, computer, communications (C4) systems and current and future amphibious vehicle platforms throughout all phases of the acquisition life cycle.

INTENT:
The goal of the APBI is to communicate to industry MCTSSA's mission, organizational structure, and current and future contracting efforts in order raise awareness, identify technical challenges and to promote potential partnering and networking for large and small businesses.

TOPICS OF INTEREST:
1.
Mission, organization, and activities of MCTSSA.
2. Potential contracting opportunities for Fiscal Years 2019 and 2020 aligned to DoN and USMC strategic guidance.
3. Informational briefings that will include but aren’t limited to cybersecurity, additive manufacturing, wireless technology, cloud computing, naval systems integration, automated testing, systems engineering, system and system of systems testing, data link analysis, tactical networking, information technology services, and USMC Operating Forces technical support.
4. Contracting financial magnitude, the scope of areas under contract, and future requirements.

FORMAT:
The APBI is a one-day event. A general orientation session will be conducted, followed by a walking tour of the facilities. Attendees will then select briefings of their choice to attend. Multiple briefings will be provided every 30 minutes during the morning and afternoon sessions. The event will conclude with follow up discussion or questions with MCTSSA's Command staff and briefers.

APBI briefing abstracts will be available one week prior to the event for review. The Government will not hear formal or unsolicited proposals from industry during the APBI.

ATTENDANCE: The APBI is unclassified and open to all interested contractors, large and small businesses, academia, as well as other government stakeholders who are U.S. Nationals. Attendance will be limited to two representatives per company. Companies are encouraged to submit a capability statement, however it is not a requirement for attendance.

REGISTRATION: Registration is required to attend the MCTSSA APBI. Registration will close at 5:00 PM PST on 24 January 2019. A registration fee is required for all industry attendees. The registration fee includes an onsite lunch. Onsite registrations will not be permitted.

ONSITE LUNCH: Onsite lunch will be provided. Alternative lunch options are approximately 20 minutes from the MCTSSA compound.

Are there ID requirements to enter the event?
APBI attendees registered through Eventbrite by January 24, 2019, will be notified and the following information confirmed/acquired with intent of every participant being added to the MCB Camp Pendleton Command Sponsored Event Visitor Roster and a NCIC background check conducted: First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, Name Suffix, State of Issued Driver's License or ID Card, State Credential Identifier/Passport Number, Date of Birth (MM/DD/YYYY). Please expect longer than normal wait times while being processed through MCB Camp Pendleton Main Gate

(1) of the following forms of identification are required upon arrival at MCB Camp Pendleton: Birth certificate, Social Security card, State-issued driver's license/ID card, Passport and passport card, or Department of Defense Identification Card (Military ID, Retired Military ID, Common Access Card).

The APBI is open to all interested contractors, large and small businesses, academia, as well as other government stakeholders who are U.S. Nationals.

Registrations to attend the MCTSSA APBI are non-transferrable. Refunds are processed up to 7 days prior to the event. All ticket holders are required to match the registration on file.
