MCR Pathways is a school-based mentoring programme that supports care-experienced and disadvantaged young people to realise their potential. By volunteering just one hour a week during school hours for at least one year, you can help a young person build confidence, develop aspirations, and achieve their goals.

This in-person event will provide you with all the information you need to get started on this rewarding journey. Don't miss out on this opportunity to give back to your community and inspire the next generation!

Can I become a mentor even if I don’t have experience with young people?

Absolutely. Our mentors come from all walks of life, many with no previous experience of working with young people. What our mentors have in common is not their experience but their shared desire to be a supportive adult who takes an interest in the life and education of a young person.

How does it work?

Mentors give 1 hour each week during school hours, for at least 1 year. Mentors and young people are carefully matched based on their likes, personality and life-experiences. Everyone is different, so we look for mentors from all walks of life.
