About the Program

In celebration of National Pro Bono Week, Riverside County Law Library is providing free MCLE credit. This presentation is an overview of Disability Rights Law under the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

Join attorney Elizabeth Eubanks, Inland Empire Regional Director of Disability Rights Legal Center (DRLC) as she provides an overview of Disability Discrimination law and discusses various volunteer opportunities and resources in the Inland Empire.

About the Speaker

As Inland Empire Regional Director of the DRLC, Ms. Eubanks is responsible for special education advocacy and civil rights litigation within San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. She also manages the Disability Rights Law Clinic at the University of La Verne College of Law, which teaches substantive law and lawyering skills to participating law students. Prior to joining DRLC, Ms. Eubanks was a Supervising Attorney at the Law Offices of Bonnie Z. Yates and advocated for parents of children with special needs. Ms. Eubanks earned a B.A. from Pepperdine University in Sociology and minored in Non-Profit Management. She received her Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine University School of Law and Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the School’s Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. She has received a certificate from the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, has presented seminars at national conferences on special education rights, and has spoken at the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates. Ms. Eubanks is a member of the State Bar of California. She is also a member of California Association for Parent-Child Advocacy, the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates, and the Disability Rights Bar Association.
