This training is intended for local homeless education liaisons and others who would like to learn more about educating children and youth experiencing homelessness. Given the recent changes under the Every Student Succeeds Act, it is recommended that participants attend the whole day. The morning will focus on the basics of the legislation, including recent changes and Virginia's plan to address those changes. During lunch, we will review resources, including awareness videos. The afternoon will include scenarios and problem-solving based on trends where liaisons will have the opportunity to learn from each other.
