Description

What: A free 30 minute educator led program for parents/caregivers with infants through four-year-olds. Stroller Tours include a short tour and family activities. Guests are encouraged to stay longer than the tour and walk through other museum galleries or browse the museum's gift shop. Registration is free, but required. Please register yourself and your child/children. They can be within the same registration or separate.

Where: The McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture, at the University of TN

When: Monday mornings, 10:00-11:00 am*

*Future Stroller Tours: Registration opens the day after the previous Stroller Tour and is first come, first serve--check back on this event page for registration and details.

Ancient Menus: What did people eat long ago? What plant foods have been around for a long time? Let’s venture to the Native Peoples of Tennessee gallery to find out!

Monday, February 11

Just Bead It: We will use objects from the Decorative Experience gallery and special objects from the museum’s education collection to learn about Native American bead work. Craft time included!

Monday, March 11

Roman Soldiers: To Rome we go! Join us as we learn about a soldier’s life on the Roman frontier.

Monday, April 8

Expressions of Nature: We will look at beautiful art inspired by nature from the temporary exhibition, Many Visions, Many Versions: Art from Indigenous Communities in India, and create our own art inspired by what we see!
