Overview

Per MCO 1320.11H, Sponsorship Training for service members assigned to a unit/command aboard MCB Hawaii and Camp H.M. Smith.

Per MCO 1320.11H, the Marine Corps Sponsorship Program (MCSP) requires all inbound Marines in the grades of Pvt-SSgt; WO-CWO2; and 2dLt-Capt to be assigned a sponsor. Sponsors and Sponsorship Coordinator training provides important information to assist sponsors in the execution of their duties and responsibilities. Open to all active duty service members stationed on MCB Hawaii and Camp Smith. Orders are not required to attend and registration is required.

Course Objectives:

• Summarize the purpose of the USMC Sponsorship Program

• Explain the role of USMC Sponsors

• Identify mandatory and recommended tasks for Sponsors

• List resources relevant to:

• All Inbound Marines

• Inbound single Marines

• Inbound married Marines

• Inbound Marines with one or more children

• Inbound Marines who are EFMP Sponsors

• Learn about MCO 1320.11H Marine Corps Sponsorship Program

• Role as a Sponsorship Coordinator

• Define what it means to be a Sponsor

• Understand they duties of a Sponsor

• Information and resources for individuals requesting Sponsorship

• Learn how to support incoming personnel and their families
