Description

Join hip hop artist, yoga teacher and author MC YOGI and his wife, renowned graffiti artist 10,000 Buddhas for an inspiring day-long immersion. The day will begin with a fun uplifting yoga practice led by MC YOGI, followed by a guided meditation and an inspiring talk about his journey from a chaotic youth to leading a purpose-filled, creative life. After a lunch break, Amanda will guide you through a grounding yin practice, then rest back and enjoy a visual presentation of her art and listen to ancient wisdom stories. The day will conclude with a Q & A session with both MC YOGI and Amanda + a book signing.

MC YOGI

From living in a group home for at-risk youth to becoming known as yoga’s modern day ambassador to the West, hiphop artist, MC YOGI is on a mission to introduce yoga to large, mainstream audiences. His latest album, RITUAL MYSTICAL (feat East Forest), made history by going #1 on the Electronic charts — Aug. 2016. In 2015, his ONLY LOVE IS REAL album debuted #12 Billboard Heatseekers + #24 iTunes Hiphop — featuring guest performances from Matisyahu, Trevor Hall, and Dominic Balli.
In September 2017, MC YOGI released his first book “Spiritual Graffiti” with HarperOne. In 2011, MC YOGI and his wife Amanda were named ambassadors by Michelle Obama for her “Lets Move” initiative and have taught yoga at the White House five times since. Additionally, they have performed and taught yoga at Stanford University, The Smithsonian, San Francisco Asian Art Museum, and Dallas Asian Art Museum.

Amanda Giacomini has dedicated her life to uplifting people and creating more beauty in the world through yoga and art. From teaching yoga at the White House to presenting at some of the biggest yoga festivals, conferences and Asian Art museums in the world, Amanda infuses the ancient teachings with creativity and joy.
