MC IBD 2022 Series Goal and Objectives

This is a virtual program bringing together multi-disciplinary practitioners to address the management of IBD from preconception to postpartum care.

The goal of MCIBD 2022 is to improve the care for women with IBD and rheumatological diseases preconception and during pregnancy and peripartum.

MCBID 2022 offers a series of 3 virtual webinars and the NEXT webinar is NOVEMBER 16th!

Be part of the conversation: How can you help your patients with IBD and rheumatological diseases from preconception, through pregnancy, and on to post-partum?

This multidisciplinary conference includes speaker sessions from experts in IBD, rheumatology, pregnancy, and fertility.

You will leave the series with the tools and resources required to provide higher quality patient care to your IBD patients during the planning stages of pregnancy, during pregnancy, and the post-partum period.

Conference Objectives:

  • Explain the importance of multi-disciplinary care for patients with IBD planning their pregnancy in an inpatient, outpatient, or community-based setting
  • Assess current issues pertaining to the medical and surgical management of IBD during preconception, pregnancy, and the peripartum period in the participant's own practice setting
  • Identify practical considerations regarding surgery, ostomy care, infant health, and rheumatological issues for patients with IBD in the participant's own practice setting

Registrants should bear financial responsibility for attending the program to reduce perceived or real influence on learning. The fee can be waived for SPC members, faculty, speakers, or patients. It is permissible to have a different fee structure, for example, to offer a reduced fee for non-physician health professionals. Reduced or waived fees for students or trainees are permitted. As such, a nominal fee of $25.00 will be charged for physicians to register for this series and $15.00 for Allied Health Professionals.
