About this Event

Power lunches are events where MBA students can hear from business leaders and network with fellow MBA students and business professionals.

They are hosted at the exclusive Alta Club, in downtown Salt lake City and they are made free thanks to a generous contribution by Wells Fargo.

Our featured speaker for the month of may will be Tom Lewis, Thomas Lewis, CEO of Green Exchange Holdings LLC.

Lewis previously served as chief executive of Ameritrade. He began his career in environmental finance in 2003 as chief executive of Automated Power Exchange Inc., a failed power exchange that he helped remake into a service provider that built an infrastructure for renewable energy credits that was adopted by North American regional markets. He also launched an environmental finance program at Johns Hopkins, where he was an executive in residence.

Earlier in his career, Lewis served as an executive vice president and chief information officer of USF&G Corporation as well as vice president of Credit Suisse First Boston and senior vice president of American Express. He was also a director at the emissions brokerage Evolution Markets Inc., one of Green Exchange's investors.

Lewis has also previously served as executive chairman of APX, Inc.; chairman of Campus Pipeline, Inc.; director of Neovest Holdings, Inc.; director of ITM Software Corporation; and director of Marriott Corporation. Lewis co-founded Seer Technologies and is a registered stockbroker and financial principal.

Lewis has also previously served as technology chief for Ronald Reagan's White House. In 1984 he received the Distinguished Service Award of the Office of Administration.

Lewis received his bachelor's degree in business administration and his master's degree in computer and information science from the University of New Haven in Connecticut.
