Event description

Description

Comedian Michelle Tomko, often uses a custom, musical number in her corporate gigs. Come March right into spring with this lecture and workshop on comedy in music. From the song parodies of "Weird Al" Yankovic to looper star Reggie Watts to YouTube phenom Bo Burnham, learn all about what music adds to the world of comedy. And learn how you can write your own song for that upcoming birthday/retirement/office/bachelor/Christmas party you are throwing.

You don't need to be able to sing. You don't need to play an instrument. You don't need to know anything about music to join in the fun. Let's make some music by exploring rhythm, rap and wit. Come and enjoy free refreshments and laughs. Ask any questions you have about comedy or getting into the comedy world. Come and sing a silly song you have written. Get a chance to perform in front of an audience or sit back, learn something and enjoy.

Michelle Tomko is a four-time winner of the Atlantic City Nightlife Award for “Best Comedian”. She has performed at Kramer Hall several times with her comedy series and workshops. Plus she appears regularly in Atlantic City, the Poconos, and all over the East Coast. She is currently in residence at Bourre A.C. and is a 2019 Ivoh fellow. Check out her work at www.michelletomko.com and follow her at @Tomkomedy.
