Event Details

Join us and help those who have been devastated by natural disasters, or who live in some of the poorest areas here in the U.S. and around the world. We need your help to pack personal items (shampoo, toothpaste, and toothbrush, soap, washcloth comb) into a hygiene kit. This is a fun event and the whole family can enjoy doing a world of good!

What is a hygiene kit? A hygiene kit consists of a full sized bottle of shampoo, a bar of soap, toothbrush, a tube of toothpaste, a washcloth and a comb packaged together in a resealable gallon-sized bag.

Why hygiene? Hygiene is a universal need and can be distributed anywhere in the world. These kits are life -saving consumable goods that our partners can use every day in communities around the world, and they are ideal for those that are suffering or recovering from recent disruptions.

Where does the kit that I pack end up? International Aid distributes these kits through established partners. Whether through a local, domestic or international location, these kits are distributed to partners who have expressed an immediate need and means for distribution.

Does it cost to attend?

There is a registration fee of $5 to reserve your spot at this event. Although we are a nonprofit organization, Hygiene Kit events take a considerable amount of preparation, time and expense to host. The reason for the registration fee is to: 1) offset some of the costs in hosting the event —  that costs International Aid tens of thousands of dollars — with overhead, staff involvement and the purchased components for the kits; and 2) because there is limited space for the participants, we want to ensure that people will show up even after registering, which is more likely to happen when people invest something toward participation. We greatly value your desire to partner with International Aid. If you have concerns about the registration fee, please contact You can register here:

Are you registering a group?

Our team will make every effort to keep your group together but we need your help.  When registering, you will be prompted to select station assignments for each participant in your group.  (The process is similar to selecting seat assignments for airline flights.)  Each station is assigned a country name; please remember what country you select.  Fun fact: Stations are named after countries where International Aid has sent hygiene kits.

If your group is larger than 14, be mindful that your group will be split up as each station can only accommodate 14 people.  However, you may select side-by-side packing stations so your group is close in proximity to each other.  PLEASE NOTE: The diagram will display the neighboring country stations.  Please select accordingly if your goal is to keep your group together.

If your group is not arriving at the same time and does not have printed tickets, please inform your group to let International Aid check-in staff know what name they are registered under.

Is this a family-friendly event?

Absolutely! Children really love packing the kits, and it’s a great opportunity for the entire family to participate in mission work together. However, we do not provide childcare. So any small children will be the parents’ responsibility to keep an eye on them.

What should I wear?

Closed-toe shoes are required in order to prevent injury when working in a warehouse around pallets and heavy objects. We want your feet to be protected. We recommend wearing comfortable clothes, as it does get quite warm while packing. T-shirts and jeans are suggested.

How many Hygiene Kits is International Aid hoping to pack at the event?

It is our goal to pack 25,000 kits by the end of the event.

How long do I participate?

Each session is for a period of 2 hours, but the actual packing is less so that we have time for instructions and prayer at the end of each session.
