BRIC and the Brooklyn Public Library (BPL) have partnered to expand media education programs for Brooklyn residents. BRIC is BPL’s lead media education partner, offering free courses and equipment at the New Lots Library (located at 665 New Lots Avenue).

BRIC is a cultural institution dedicated to presenting contemporary art, performing arts and community media programs that reflect Brooklyn’s diverse communities, and to providing resources and platforms to support the creative process. All of BRIC’s offerings are free or low cost, to enhance the public’s access to and understanding of arts and media. BRIC is the community media access TV organization for Brooklyn. Its community media programs offer Brooklyn residents free access to media production facilities and equipment and low-cost media education through the BRIC Media Education. BRIC’s community media programming also includes three programming initiatives aired on the 4-channel Brooklyn Public Network: community-produced Brooklyn Free Speech TV; BRIC-produced, Brooklyn-focused Brooklyn Independent Media; and Brooklyn Bulletin Board, a 24/7 looping community calendar used by Brooklyn non-profits.
